The basic roof rack is the ideal equipment for those for whom even the extra-large luggage space typical of ŠKODA vehicles is not enough. Thanks to quality, proven safety and user comfort, the roof rack is the best solution for transporting less compact items (eg sports equipment). This is the only way to ensure the full comfort of the passengers in a fully occupied vehicle. The basic roof rack is easily attached to the joint between the door and the side of the vehicle. It is lockable and thus secured against theft. Using the so-called T-slots can be mounted on the roof rack with other lockable transport systems (bicycle racks, ski holders, box for skis and snowboards, luggage basket, etc.). The basic roof rack undergoes demanding tests of durability and resistance to corrosion and impact. Its quality is confirmed by the successfully passed City Crash test, in which a carrier loaded with a weight of 90 to 120 kg must remain on the body even at an overload of about 12 G lasting 80 millisEconds. To successfully pass the City Crash test, it is also necessary that none of the transported objects is separated.
